Exploring middle Hill of Nepal gives different pleasures and discovery of real Nepal. There are no tea house/lodges on the trail. The climate is ideal at any time during the Year with warm days and cool nights. You will be welcomed into the community and invited to stay in the home of one of the village families. But you won’t get hot showers, television, hamburgers.
During your stay you will be able to feel what it is like to live the life of a Nepali villager. Walk with your family while they go about their daily chores, tending animals, tilling the fields, going to school with the children, or just sitting in the sun talking to neighbors. Feel free to wander, safely, by yourself and look at all of the developments that the community have supported and funded; the village school, primary health centre, and at the end of your stay, you will be overwhelmed by the farewell that your new family will give you. If you never come this way again the village and its people will remain in your heart forever.
This Home Stay Tours are designed and managed by the Outfitter Nepal to generate funds for a social organization which is working for the Unprivileged people on the remote part of Nepal through various social projects like Education project, Health Promotion project and women empowerment.
Home-stay and Cultural Programs: (Two weeks to four weeks) All placements include elements of the Home Stay and Cultural Exchange Program. Volunteers live with a traditional family, not more than 30 minutes from their placement. This provides volunteers with an opportunity to learn about all aspects of Nepali life, culture, food and people. Volunteers are expected to share items which show their own culture, customs and to share information about their home with the family and the community. Volunteers doing this program exclusively become a member of the household, and participate in all activities including cooking, washing, working in the fields, and generally caring for the house and family. This is the best way to Experience real Nepal.
Note: Volunteers participating in most of the other programs will automatically be participating in this one as well, as they will be staying with Nepali host families.
Home Stay and Health Care Volunteer Volunteering in Nepal: Due to the lack of health care education, medical services, medical resources and most of the country’s health care centers are centralized in the capital and few other cities of the country, the majority of Nepal’s people experience severe health problems. A Majority of the rural people in the country are unable to receive proper health treatment service due to the lack of sufficient treatment centers and health workers in rural areas. Still huge number of Nepalese people never receives proper health care. Most of the Nepalese cannot afford to visit doctors as the doctor fee is highly expensive to these poor people. And on top of everything, most of the doctors are stationed in the hospitals of Kathmandu and running their own clinics in posh areas depriving the simple and poor rural villagers deprived of any medical attention. The state run heath centers also lack medical resources.
This health project benefits hundreds and thousands of people who have never had the opportunity to receive proper health care. This project of Inventive Voluneer Project Nepal is an endeavor to reach the needy and disadvantaged people in Nepal.
Many Nepalese are still deprived of health care benefits. The situation in rural areas is even worst in the absence of doctors and other medical staffs. The state run health centers established to provide health care to the villagers are very poor in resources and also under staffed. Qualified volunteers are needed to reach these needy people and address their problems.
Moreover, the doctor-patient ratio is very poor, with one doctor caring for approximately 16,000 patients-even in cities. The lack of availability of qualified health care workers has resulted in many health problems in Nepal.
We have standing requests from local facilities for Internists, Urologists, Surgeons, Oncologists, Opthamologists, Nurses, Dentists, and EMT's. You will play a critical role in the villages and towns where you'll serve.
